The Woman and the Sea

The Woman and the Sea  is a fascinating acrylic painting on canvas realized by the Italian artist  Anna Maria Caboni  in 2014.

The artwork is  hand-signed  and  hand-dated  "AMC 14" by the artist in black marker pen on the lower right corner of the back. In excellent conditions.

The title of this original painting is a variation of  The Old Man and the Sea , the famous book by  Ernest Hemingway . The sinuous and sensual blue lines of this artwork, on a black background, form the silhouette of a woman and the waves of a rough sea. The shape of the woman merges with the lines of the waves in an inescapable vortex in the immensity of the sea until the two elements become indistinguishable.
