City 1  is a marvelous mixed-media painting on canvas (acrylic, China ink, and marker) realized by the Italian artist  Anna Maria Caboni  in 2016.

The artwork is  hand-signed  and  hand-dated  " AMC 16 " by the artist in white marker pen on the lower right. Perfect conditions.

This unique painting, made with only a few black straight lines, represents five skyscrapers of an imaginary city in perspective, creating a dynamic skyline. The small squared slots on the buildings, some black and some white, recall the switched on and off windows of busy offices in the late evening, likely situated in a business center of a huge metropolis.

Despite its outstanding simplicity, this artwork epitomizes the artist's purest style, teeming with life and energy, and drawing the observer into a crowded and busy atmosphere.
