City Soul

City Soul  is a fascinating mixed-media painting on canvas (chalk and acrylic) realized by the Italian artist  Anna Maria Caboni  in 2019.

The artwork is  hand-signed  and  hand-dated  "AMC 19" by the artist in black marker pen on the lower right corner. In excellent conditions.

This original painting was realized with an interesting  technique : a layer of acrylic paint was applied on dried chalk, which was then scraped off with sandpaper. The final result is an amazing  materic  artwork representing a contorted and anguished city on the blue, lilac, and gray color tones. The style of this piece recalls street art.
