Deer
Deer is an original lithograph realized in the early 1930s by Emmanuel Gondouin, (Versailles, 1883 - Parigi, 1934).
The artwork is a sketch of a hartebeest, and African deer of the prairie. From the series entitled "Africa".
Emmanuel Gondouin was a French Cubist painter born in Versailles in 1883 and died in Paris in 1934. He was considered a cursed painter, for he lived in misery in the districts of Montmartre and Montparnasse in Paris. He made a living thanks to his industrial designs, and was aquainted with Modigliani. Gondouin took part in exhibitions abroad, notably in New York and Chicago.
