Deers is an original lithograph realized in the early 1930s by Emmanuel Gondouin, (Versailles, 1883 - Parigi, 1934).

The artwork is a sketch of deers in the Savannah, and was part of a series of animals entitled "Africa".

Emmanuel Gondouin was a French Cubist painter born in Versailles in 1883 and died in Paris in 1934. He was considered a cursed painter, for he lived in misery in the districts of Montmartre and Montparnasse in Paris. He survived thanks to his industrial designs, and was aquainted with Modigliani. Gondouin took part in exhibitions abroad, notably in New York and Chicago.
