Deer is an original lithograph realized in the early 1930s by the French artist Emmanuel Gondouin, (Versailles, 1883 - Parigi, 1934).

The artwork is a detail of a deer's face with a sketch consistence, and is part of a series entitled "Africa".

Emmanuel Gondouin was a French Cubist painter born in Versailles in 1883 and died in Paris in 1934. He is considered a cursed painter, for he lived in misery in the districts of Montmartre and Montparnasse in Paris. He survived thanks to industrial designs, and was aquainted with Modigliani. Gondouin took part in exhibitions abroad, notably in New York and Chicago.
