Hand Signed. Edition of 75 prints.

Roberto Sebastián Antonio Matta Echaurren (Santiago de Chile, November 11, 1911 - Civitavecchia, November 23, 2002) was a Chilean architect and painter.

In 1934, after studying architecture, he moved to Paris where he worked with Le Corbusier and came into contact with intellectuals like Rafael Alberti and Federico García Lorca. He knows André Breton and Salvador Dalí and joins the surrealism, elaborating a painting centered on psychological morphologies. In 1944 Breton writes: "Matta is the one who most trusts his own star, which is perhaps the best way to get to the supreme secret: fire control".
