Claude Dechezelle (1928-2003) was a French painter. He was the pupil of Jean Dupas (1882-1964) at the School of Fine Arts in Paris in the 1950s, then a boarder at Casa de Velázquez in Madrid for two seasons from 1955 to 1957. He was a professor of drawing in Paris. He translated the landscapes of the Midi with elegance and contrasts of light.
