Very beautiful set of four traditional Japanese Netsuke hand-made in Asia in the first years of the XX Century. They represents stylized animals (a frog with a turtle, a mouse), children and a standing figure with a traditional headwear. Netsuke are a traditional miniature sculptures invented in the XVII Century in Japan with a practical function:; indeed to store their personal belongings, Japanese people used to place such objects in containers. Netsuke could be realized in different materials and forms and are always miniaturized.
