A really beautiful original drawing representing a woman praying, stretched on the floor with a very fluent line. This is a very detailed sketch on the woman drapery.
In good condition, except for a diffused foxing and yellowing of the paper at the edge. the original sheet is glued on a light blue cardboard. there is a little caption glued on the cardboard.

Pierre Nicolas Brisset (Paris, 1810-1890)
The French artist was Prix de Rome in1840, not only a painter but also muralist in the Academic style. He is best known today for his mythological, historical and religious scenes, but also painted landscapes and portraits.
