Mario Merz (1925-2003) was a well-konwn Italian artist, who belonged to the so-called Arte Povera.
In this volume the Fondazione Merz (born in Turin in 2005) has collected the works exhibited at the GAM-Civic Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art (10 January-27 March, 2005), at the Contemporary Art Museum of the Rivoli Castle (10 January-27 March 2005), and at the Fondazione Merz (29 April-2 October 2005).

The richness of illustrations (166 in color and black and white) - such as the enormous artworks reproducing prehistoric wild animals like the rhino, the crocodile, or the owl - shows us his vasted and heterogeneous artistic production; at the end of the volume a rich critical anthology and pgotographs of the artist.
By Giovanni Castagnoli, Ida Gianelli, Beatrice Merz.

In-8º, in Italian, pp. 239, cm 27.6 x 2.5 x 23.5, 2006.
