This is an original illustration (plate n. 51) from the suite of 52 plates titled" Modes et Manières du Jour à Paris à la fin du 18e siècle et au commencement du 19e siècle".     

On the top the inscription: "1808 Modes & Manières N° 51. "  under the engraved image the title.

Describing the female fashion of the beginning of XIX century, our specimen is in excellent condition and with vivid colors, except for a light foxing and a slight yellowing of the paper at the edge, due by the time.
Including a cardboard passepartout  (cm 25 x 19).
