Erotic Scene is a graceful and curious drypoint realized by the French painter, illustrator, and writer Amandine Doré around the mid-20 ^th century.

The state of preservation is good, although the paper has some spread dark stains that do not affect the reading of the artwork. The print belongs to a series of erotic illustrations that the artist realized for many books, from classics to erotic literature and poetry.

Amandine Doré (Paris, 1912-2011) is one of the pseudonyms of Odette Amandine Bonne , also known as “Aurèa” or “Madame”, according to the type of subject matter of her artworks.

Amandine was a French painter, illustrator, and writer. Her production varied from erotic to travel illustrations. With her fascinating drawings, she illustrated the classics of erotic literature, books of poetry, magazines, and most of her husband’s books (the Belgian author T’Serstevens , with whom she often travelled).
