Elle le boude is a hand-watercolored etching on paper realized in 1801 by the French artist Louis-Philibert Debucourt (1755-1832).

This is an original illustration (plate n. 46) published in the IX year.

From a suite of 52 plates titled " Modes et Manières du Jour à Paris à la fin du 18e siècle et au commencement du 19e siècle".

On the top the inscription:  Modes &c. N° 46. " ;  "Flor. An 9"  ;  under the engraved image  "Elle le boude. / Chapeau ovale... Voile froncé.)".

Describing the female fashion of the beginning of XIX century, our specimen is in excellent condition with vivid colors, except for a light foxing and yellowing of the paper at the edge due by the time.

Including a cardboard passepartout: cm 25 x 19.

One copy is preserved at the  Musée Carnavalet, Histoire de Paris.
