Delfi Table
This beautiful Delfi Table is a designer piece of furniture realized by Carlo Scarpa in 1968 .
The Delfi Table is a redesign of a rationalist table model from the 1930s, designed by Marcel Breuer for Simon by Cassina , on which Carlo Scarpa made some variations in 1968. In this same year, Breuer gave it to Dino Gavina for his new home in Via Garibaldi in Bologna; Gavina commissioned to Carlo Scarpa some rework on the original piece. The result is this beautiful table for your home decor.
The table is composed of two monolithic bases and a rectangular top, all in Carrara marble.
The top is fixed to the bases with brass bushes and nylon pins. Ground support with invisible plastic base.

Marcel Breuer , a German designer and architect of Hungarian origins, became director of the furniture section at the Bauhaus school, and directed some research on furniture design to be produced industrially, tackling the related technological problems with rigorous and stylistic methodology.
Carlo Scarpa was an architect, designer, and artist who attended the Academy of Art in Venice. He began his career as a professional, whilst keeping in touch with craft workshops and Venetian glassmakers.
