Collection of 4 letters

This  collection of 4 letters  is a wonderful lot of  correspondenc e  between the international artist  Jean Dubuffet  and the graphic art merchant and collector  Nesto Jacometti , written in  1955 .

In 8° and in excellent conditions, the sheets are as good as new, with the ring binder holes on the left margin.

An interesting correspondence between the founder of  Art Brut   Jean Dubuffet  (Le Havre, 1901 - Paris, 1985) and his graphic publisher  Nesto Jacometti  (Locarno, 1898 - 1973). The letters are about an initial misunderstanding for the sale of some of Dubuffet’s lithographs due to practical, economical, and logistic issues. Afterwards, the art business was successful!

In detail, it is   composed of:

L.A.S.d.p. (Autograph Letter Signed with date and place) by Jean Dubuffet to Nesto Jacometti. Vence, 7 th December 1955. One page, single-sided.

- L.T. (Typewritten Letter) by Jean Dubuffet to Nesto Jacometti. Vence, 7 th December 1955 . One page, single-sided. This is the typewritten transcription of Dubuffet’s previous autograph. With the hand-written note “ Copie ” on the higher margin.

L.T. S. (Typewritten Letter) on headed paper “ Jean Dubuffet 114 Bis Rue de Vaugirard Paris VI – Littré 50-33 ”, signed and written by Dubuffet's secretary  Gabrielle Neumann on behalf of the artist. One page, single-sided. Watermarked paper “ Renage ”.
