Cindi Emond

Cindi Emond is a Canadian visual artist who lives and works in Rome, Italy. She completed two degrees at York University, Toronto, obtaining a BFAH with a split major in Photography, studio arts and Art History, and holds a second degree in Marketing and Communications also from York. This unique training has influenced both the artistic and commercial perspectives of her practice.
A compelling storyteller, she uses a visual vocabulary to tell meaningful
narratives that resonate with the viewer. Having documented people, cultures, and landscapes from around the world, her photographic journey has led her back to Italy for this exhibition, where she investigates the relationship between local histories and generational forces. Her environmental portraiture is one that addresses Italian heritage, the persistance of cultural traditions and national identity.
Cindi began working as a fine art photographer in 2015 and her work is showcased in corporate and private collections in Canada and Italy.
