Plate N. 39. Numbered on the upper right corner.

Titled on the lower central margin "Hasta su Abuelo " (Even the Grandfather).

This plate presents a dressed donkey watching us with a big open book on which different animal figures are drawn. The artist wished to mock certain scholars and academics of 18th-century Spain by comparing them to donkeys, highlighting their ignorance. The donkey is realized with different shades of grey and black.
