Delicate and soft still life depicting a vase full of pink flowers on a table. This work has been realized in the first half of the XX Century by the Italian painter Alfiero Cappellini (Pistoia, 1905 - ?). He participated at regional and national exhibitions until 1928. He was invited to numerous Quadriennali in Rome. In 1940, he had a personal exhibition at the Venice Biennale and in 1942, he exhibited in the Biennale's Salon of Honor. He has held numerous solo exhibitions in the most important Italian towns: Rome, Milan and Naples, and has participated in exhibitions abroad. His paintings are kept in many private collections and in Italian and foreign modern art galleries. He also has won numerous national awards.
