Alberto Ziveri (Rome,1908 – 1990), the Italian painter of the Roman school, author of urban landscapes and realist narrative scenes, wrote this long autograph letter to thanks the Countess Pecci Blunt, his mentor and patron of arts, for her great mission: the Cometa Gallery " a place now known and recognized, with a nice and welcoming atmosphere".
This letter was written only one year before the foundation of La Cometa Gallery . This Roman gallery was opened in 1935 until 1938, by the Italian poet Libero de Libero and the Countess Pecci-Blunt. An internationl world in Rome was been born: artists and intellectuals like Afro, Mirko, Cagli Mafai, Guttuso and Capogrossi, Severini, Martini, Janni, Melli, Ziveri, Pirandello, Savinio graviteted.
