Six Chairs by Coppola  is an original design work realized by   Silvio Coppola  (Brindisi, 1920 – Milan, 1985). Silvio Coppola was an Italian architect, designer, graphic designer and academic. As an architect he realizes buildings in Baghdad, university cities in Zaire, houses and hotel structures in various Italian cities, becoming in 1965 architect designer of the European Development Fund of the EEC. In the field of interior design, industrial design and visual communication, Coppola works as a consultant and collaborator in large Italian and foreign industries including Bayer, Bernini, Montecatini, Monteschell, Zucchi, Cinzano, Alessi, Cassina, Parmalat, Feltrinelli. In 1967 he founded with Munari, Grignani and others the research group Exhibition design, operating particularly in the pre-design sector. He obtained the Palme d'Or for advertising in 1962 and the Rizzoli Award in 1966. He is a member of ADI, AIGA of New York and AGI, of which he held the position of vice president for two years. His works are exhibited in various American and European museums.
