Satire Political  is an original lithograph realized by Frenc artist  Honoré Daumier  (1808-1879). edition on the newspaper page, plate no.85.

The State of preservation is good and aged with some repaired parts.

The artwork is representing men in a satiric scenery, with the master's caricaturist touch, through soft and confident strokes and colorful hatching,  Daumier,  who is well-known for his artwork about the social matter, is also concerned about social classes, the title precisely represents his view, titled in French at the top of the artwork " Les Bons Bourgeois"  The good Bourgeois, at the   bottem "quand le journal est trop intéressant", when the newspaper is too much interesting.

Daumier is famous for his satirical commentary on social and political life predominantly through his lithographs of which he produced and he is best known for his caricatures of political figures.

Daumier’s works are found in many of the world’s leading art museums, including the Louvre, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Rijksmuseum.
