Repubblica Romana is a beautiful historical manuscript embellished by meticulous decorations concerning the Roman republic: the wolf with the twins, a Roman view on the Imperial Forums, a balance, Villa Pamphili, the Papalins symbols and a Muse writing realized by a sure hand with China ink, tempera and watercolor on paper.
A long explicative hand-written inscription in Italian is at the center of the sheet: " A Giuseppe Garibaldi / Generale della Repubblica Romana / nel giorno 30 Aprile 1879 / rammemorando / il glorioso fatto di Villa Pamphili / l'associazione olistica / Giorgio Pallavicino / di Fodogno / in pegno di virili propositi / pei futuri cimenti / della libertà ". Concerning the heroic deeds of Giuseppe Garibaldi , this interesting document is in good conditions, except for some visible folds of the paper, and discolorations of colors and of the red ink, and preserved its charm and beauty.
