This work was realized by Legras-Saint-Denis, France. The Legras-Saint-Denis manufacture was founded by François Théodore Legras. Legras also dedicated himself to chemical studies, so as to be able to apply notions and technical secrets that led him to raise the signature, in commercial and artistic production, among the most important in France. The heterogeneous production of Legras includes glasses for the hospital sector and chemistry laboratories, gobeleterie, tableware, trays for desserts and cheeses, up to the original and curious liquor bottles or essences with famous shapes. At the end of the century, the production of Art Nouveau glasses began. Legras and his nephew Charles, who joined him in 1900, produced vases, jardinières, soliflores, glass and crystal boxes and lamps, cameo, intaglio or enamel, with floral representations, pastoral scenes, marine landscapes and delicate snowy landscapes, which constitute a sure point of recognition of Legras' style. For the technique and aesthetic, they come to compete with their contemporary glass masters, in certain models and processes they even manage to overcome them.
