Maschio Femmina is an original contemporary artwork realized by Alighiero Boetti  in 1973 .

This couple of drawings consists of two pairs of scissors, one open and one closed, metaphorically symbolizing the masculine and feminine human beings. Underneath the two drawings, a caption reports the words Maschio (Male) and Femmina (Female).

Alighiero Boetti   (Turin, 1940 – Rome, 1994)  was a Conceptual artist, often associated with the Arte Povera movement.
