This splendid etching  Le mise au tombeau   was  realized by Eugène Delacroix  in 1859.

The state of preservation of the artwork is excellent. The artwork is  handsigned  on the lower left. At the bottom, just below the image, the inscriptions “ Le mise au tombeau”  in the center,  "Marcel Roux sculp."  on the right side and  "Eug Delacroix"  on the left side are printed.

Eugène Delacroix  (1798-1863) was a French painter, son of Charles de Contaut. He is the most important painter of Romanticism: his works mark a decisive shift in the history of painting and lead the way to Realism and Expressionism.
