Green Jade Necklace with a Jade Pendant

Green Jade Necklace with a Jade Pendant is a precious jewel realized between the late 19th and the early 20th Century in China.

The necklace is composed by 49 jade pearls and a green jade pendant with leafs and natural motifs.
The lacing is in bronze with a decorated motif.
This exquisite artifact is a typical example of the traditional Chinese Green Jade tradition. The work is hand-made and is composed by several jade pearls and by a precious pendant. The surface of the pendant, realized in green jade too, is carved. Several natural motifs appears: leafs and stylized flowers. Jade, or yu as it’s known in China, which means precious stone, is mainly considered as a symbol of serenity, tranquility, and purity. It’s a stone that’s believed to bring in good luck, friendship, peace, and harmony. Green Jade is also known as a protective stone
because of its abilities to ward off the negative energies.
