Filippo Tommaso Marinetti

(Alexandria, Egypt, 1876 - Bellagio, 1944)
His first publications of poems and lirics date from the beginning of the twentieth century. The first years of Marinetti’s literary production represent already the vision of the life of the one who will become the promoter and animator of futurism, considering art as a dynamic and revolutionary event. By supporting creativity, progress and intuition, Marinetti writes using the free verse, which refuses the rigid and predetermined form.
From 1910 he organizes a series of “Futuristic evenings” in many Italian cities, authentic acts of provocation and propaganda of the movement he created. Marinetti participates in the draft and signed different other proclamations and advertisements, to support futurism.
