Composition

Composition is an original contemporary serigraphy artwork on metal realized by the Italian artist Salvatore Emblema in 1970.

Hand-signed on the lower right and numbered on the lower left. Edition of 15/75 prints.

This artwork is a precious abstract composition in blue forms and strips, dynamic and well-balanced by the Neapolitan artist  Salvatore Emblema  (Terzigno, 1929-2006). He attended the Liceo Artistico and the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples. From a very young age he devoted himself to painting inspired by the nature that surrounds him: he uses, in fact, all natural elements to produce particular colors and atmospheres. In 1982, he took part in the XL Venice Biennale and was also invited to major exhibitions abroad: in New York, the curator of the Metropolitan Museum, Filippo Montebello, acquired five canvases for the collection of the museum. In the same year the Museum Boymans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam exhibited and acquired his works. The artist's research has produced original and brilliant works, exhibited in the major museums all over the world, from the New York's MOMA to the Boymans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam, from the Vatican Museums to the Rockefeller Center Museum.
