Kabuki actress is a superb colored woodblock print on paper, realized around 1830 by one of the most famous Japanese Ukiyo-e artists Utagawa Kunisada , also known as Utagawa Toyokuni III (1786 - 1865) or Kunisada I . With inscriptions in black and red ink on plate on the lower margin.
Very well-inked with shiny colors, this plate is in very good conditions, with some little imperceptible holes of the paper on the left margin and lower right corner, and some light discolorations of the ink of the inscriptions. A cream-colored cardboard passepartout is included (50 x 35 cm).
