Vintage Art Nouveau Brass Can and Vase

This Vintage WMF Art Deco Can and Vase is an original decorative pair of objects realized in the 1910s.

Realized by WMF, Germany. Original brass product. Very good conditions.

Beautiful pair of objects realized in brass and made by WMF in Germany in the first decade of the XX century. The set includes two different objects: a brass round box on three ball feet with a protuding rim with the rising lid slim knob. The surfaces of the objects present a hammered decoration. The conical vase has an oblique shoulder with a slightly offset wide band with a relief medallion.

This set was realized by the historical and famous company  WMF  (Würtemburgische Machin Fabrik AG), originally founded in 1853 in Geislingen an der Steige, Germany.  In 1880, there was an amalgamation of Straub & Sohn and A Ritter & Co. and the factory became famous for domestic and art metalware with an appropriate change of name to  Würtemburgische Metallwaren Fabrik AG .
