This original old master artwork demonstrates the expert technical skills of the artist with its delicate contour lines and bright colors. The watercolor represents a frontally standing Camandolese hermit with a long brown beard wearing a long white tunic with a hood. Only one hand of the hermit comes out from the robe, and it is pointing towards the small village at his feet on the right. The lights and shadows of the colors blend smoothly with one another.
